Job description

The Role:

Our client who are a large, leading and sought-after design company in East London are looking for an astute HR Manager to oversee their HR functions. This is a generalist position and will work closely with the Directors and wider team to ensure all aspects of HR are delivered effectively and efficiently.

This is a key position and therefore requires proven experience at both a strategic and operational level, with CIPD level 5 minimum in addition to experience of managing and mentoring. You will be required to have strong organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to communicate well at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of HR including employee relations and retentions, policies and processes, benefit management, employee development, recruitment and managing disputes and employee issues
  • Lead business initiatives and HR strategy
  • Manage diversity & inclusion, health & wellbeing and people initiatives
  • Ensure compliance across the board and advise on best practice, keeping abreast on legislation
  • Design and implement processes and procedures
  • Manage the hiring process including on-boarding processes, inductions, job adverts, job descriptions, salary negotiations, RTW checks and working with external agencies
  • Benchmarking and external research
  • Prepare career and training plans
  • Manage employee annual appraisals
  • Support, train and be able challenge Directors on HR aspects
  • Monitor staff turnover and other HR metrics
  • Manage HR and training budgets
  • Manage and ensure compliance across all visa and immigration aspects

  • Strong management and strategy skills

  • Previous experience in a creative industry is advantageous
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills
  • Financial awareness and experience working on budgets
