Job description

Brook Street is recruiting for civilian investigators on a temporary basis for 6 months, potential to be extended to 9 months (not yet confirmed) for Lincolnshire Police Force

Hours - 37 hours a week

Work Location - Nettleham - Lincolnshire HQ (Office Based)

Rate - £12.34

Main Responsibilities :

Receive direct calls from members of the public, providing appropriate advice and guidance as necessary to resolve queries in a manner that is acceptable to the caller and agreed by them, without the need to deploy a resource.
Assess calls for service and subsequent incident grading by considering the following six elements (based on the needs of the caller and the circumstances of the incident): Threat, Harm, Risk, Investigation, Vulnerability and the opportunities for Engagement
To operate NSPIS command and control system, PRONTO, NICHE, PNC, and other relevant information and intelligence systems, procedures, policing knowledge, and problem solving skills, to resolve calls for service at first point of contact.
Create incident logs in line with National Standards of incident recording. Ensure that all information is accurate and complies with local policies and national legislation. Where an incident requires the deployment of an officer ensure that this is expedited via a Dispatcher.
Carry out enquiries interrogating force computer systems to assist investigating officers and external agencies.
