PPD's Language Services (LS) organization has a role for Senior Manager/Manager of Linguistic Resourcing (LS-Resourcing) - this is an exciting opportunity that can be office or home-based.

The Sr/Manager of LS-Resourcing provides overall leadership for Recruiting efforts globally and is responsible for identifying and recruiting high-quality linguists, translators, and related Language Services staff, including Freelancers/Contractors and direct hires. Then, help foster an environment that makes PPD Language Services an employer of choice with high satisfaction, high engagement, and high retention.

As part of the PPD LS Leadership Team (dotted line), works closely with Account Management and Project Management leaders. Reporting into the Head of Operations for Language Services, the ultimate remit is to ensure that PPD build and grow a broad portfolio of customers (external and internal to PPD) who are highly satisfied and motivated to have PPD LS as a main provider of language and translation services.

In addition, may have input on the best technologies to support Language Services, including launching any new technologies or upgrades. Other key input includes development and updates of associated procedures (SOPs) as well as support obtaining the appropriate ISO certification(s). Given this is a new service offering for PPD, the Leadership Team is also responsible for leading both external and internal customer awareness to drive increased business and revenue.

Main responsibilities:

* Help establish and then oversee a professional Resourcing team in a language services organisation
* Team includes Talent Acquisition Professionals (Recruiters) to build and maintain a database of high-quality freelancers/linguists/translators
* Advocate for PPD's LS staff freelancer community, looking for ways to enhance their experience of working with PPD to improve satisfaction, engagement, and retention
* Provide leadership for LS-Resourcing and establish infrastructure for a best-in-class language services offering
* Develop data driven approaches, supported by application of technology, to provide insights into best-in-class Linguistic Resources and drive high quality decision making
* Proactively collaborate with broader LS Leadership Team and multiple stakeholders across PPD to ensure that the service is meeting their business needs
* Support the establishment of procedural and systems roadmaps to obtain ISO certification
* Participate in the continuous review of risk analysis and proactive quality trending assessments to determine areas for potential improvement
* Focus on end results, using metrics and key performance indicators to demonstrate high quality, timeliness, and cost control.

* Extensive knowledge of understanding the Language Services business and Account Management, Business Development/Sales
* Proven ability to proactively gather, interpret and evaluate information from a variety of resources to make recommendations & implement
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting complex strategies at all levels of the organization and with clients

*Qualifications:*

*Education and Experience:*

* Previous experience in Translation Services that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years in the Clinical Research industry, with at least 3+ years in Translation Services)
* 2+ years of management responsibility
* Strong leadership skills
* In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
