Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a Lifting Equipment Engineer with a background in maintaining and servicing of lifting equipment, or mechanical knowledge within a different environment.

What will you be doing?

As a Lifting Equipment Engineer you will join a team of 6/8 where you will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of a range of mechanical lifting equipment including Lever Chain Hoists, Tirfors, Motorised Spacer Chairs, Running Out Blocks, Hydraulic and Electrical equipment. You will prepare, inspect and certify lifting and other specialist equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations against a site request. You will also carry out Portable Appliance Testing of electrical equipment e.g. transformers, capstan winches and portable tools either at the NDC or on site.

The experience you'll bring

• A full UK driving licence, and be prepared and able bodied for manual handling tasks.
• LOLER & PUWER qualifications would be desirable.
• A willingness to travel is essential.
