Job description

We are looking for Live In Carers to work across London, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridgeshire. You will be required to provide support to enable Service Users to continue living in their own homes respecting each individuals right to exercise their personal choice and interests.

To maximise independence through practical assistance and to promote choice and independence with our Service Users, this may include planned risk taking whilst adhering to the Service User's support and care plan.

To act in a professional manner at all times, remembering you are a guest in the Service User's home. You must wear your identification badge. Being reliable and a good time-keeper is paramount.

To adhere to good practice in line with CQC and the Company's handbooks, induction, training sessions and supervisions at all times.

Provide a constructive, detailed record of daily activities undertaken with respect to the service user, together with a professional 'hand-over' to the relieving care worker.

Always comply with the Company's policies and procedures and adhere to Health and Safety regulations.

Good communication between yourself and the office is essential. We stress that you must be contactable so that the Company can exchange, update and clarify information. It is also your responsibility to report immediately all changes in your health, required support, training needs and situations relating to our Service Users, which may include accidents, incidents, concerns or issues.

Report to your Line Manager on a regular basis, as well as to record daily, all activities in the service user home notes folder for each and every assignment. In particular with regard to any marked change in the physical, behavioural or social condition of the service user or any perceived lack of resources, help or advice; or to any action by persons or organisations which may be harmful to the service user.

Provide accurate written and verbal reports as and when required.

We will transport you to your placement from a mutually agreed pick up point and facilitate the handover between incoming and outgoing Live In Carers.
