Role Responsibility:
Local Test Site Manager
Here at G4S we are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our COVID-19 Test Centre teams heading up a Local Testing Unit (LTU). These positions were set up so that we are able to meet the needs of the local areas ensuring constant and consistent availability of COVID-19 testing for everyone.
LTS Managers lead the overall management of the Test Centre, supervising the service delivery and all activities and outputs for the site. You will operate the site strictly in line with all health and safety directives and policy and procedures. This is a fast paced environment so the ability to adapt quickly and make well judged and informed decisions in a timely manner are a must.
Your role as Manager of the LTS will consist of the following, however isn't limited to:
Safety
To ensure that safe working practices are implemented, monitored and adhered to at all times in accordance with G4S and DHSC Health, Safety and Environmental policy requirements.
Customer
Deliver a strong customer focused partnership approach.
Operations
Responsible for the planning and effective delivery of all services to meet all contractual requirements.
To manage and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with Deloittes, DHSC (Client), the site management team, peers within project and support functions and supplier/contractor groups.
Ensure that the asset base is maintained by third party provider to required standards.
Encourage and drive innovation and continuous improvements: challenge existing processes, suggest new approaches to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness of processes, actively encouraging and supporting creativity from team.
Compile quotes and estimates for documented variations to services, materials, consumables, equipment and infrastructure.
Manage timesheets and overtime spend.
Facilities
Compile and maintain an LTS Risk Management Register.
Undertake audits and compliance programmes, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and procedures, driving change to meet project objectives and ensuring best practice.
Ensure logbooks and other onsite documentation are up to date and statutory compliant.
People
Recruit, lead and motivate teams, ensuring performance is managed, people are adequately inducted and trained in terms of achieving the required standards of performance and that staff engagement, reward and recognition is prioritised.
To monitor and ensure the safety, well-being and appropriate welfare provision to all onsite employees, sub-contractors, partners and members of the public.
Manage performance monitoring utilising management information data to track and report as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are very interested in hearing from candidates with a strong H&S or Facilities background who are immediately available. This position is a FTC for 1 year and works on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation basis between the hours of 0800 and 1800 hrs paying £17.85 per hour. Full driving licence is a must with access to a car.
