Job description
A fantastic Permanent opportunity has arisen at one of our major clients for a Maintenance Coordinator in the Birmingham area on a dayshift.
This role has full responsibility for the engineering workshop, Engineering craft teams and apprentices to ensure the plant achieves daily targets in Safety, Quality, Throughput and Cost.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 4.30pm plus overtime when required
Annual Salary/Benefits:
This role has full responsibility for the engineering workshop, Engineering craft teams and apprentices to ensure the plant achieves daily targets in Safety, Quality, Throughput and Cost.
Key responsibilities associated with the role:
- Delivering the plant annual maintenance plan and SAP PM schedule completion
- Ensuring the Engineering craft team are adequately trained, competent, resourced (including contractor support) and engaged in the correct plant priorities
- Establishing maintenance reporting systems and departmental KPI's to deliver measurable improvements in the effectiveness of the Engineering craft team.
- Managing day to day contractors, ensuring the safety documentation reviewed is suitable and sufficient for the task.
- Ensuring adequate level of craft competence, SAP schedule completion, statutory inspections and remedial works completion to maintain regulatory compliance with LOLER/PUWER/PSSR.
Experience and attributes required:
- Demonstrated work shop management experience in a heavy manufacturing unionized environment
- In depth understanding of SAP PM and MM processes and systems.
- Technical appreciation of roll grinding principles and processes.
- Working knowledge of T&A, STAR and Share-point.
- Broad based Engineering and manufacturing background, experience in managing groups of engineering staff.
- Highest levels of honesty and personal integrity
- Ability to work under pressure to make effective decisions and manage workload with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication and interaction skills.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with technical contacts at customers
- Ability to lead and motivate the Engineering team
Working Hours:

£36K to £42K
