There will be an opportunity for you to access our bespoke training package.The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in supporting people with learning disabilities. Within this role you will need an understanding of medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.Skills: Strong communicator, creative, motivated, ability to cope in challenging situations, understand and support individuals to lead a good quality of life whilst achieving positive outcomes along the way.About the Service: Highfield House provides residential care accommodation for service users whose primary care need is learning disability, in addition to this there may be service users who also have underlying complex needs, that may present challenging behaviours. Highfield House endeavours to provide an environment in which all service users feel comfortable and at home, and that their well-being, health and safety are paramount. Highfield House's main purpose is to enhance Service Users' independence and provide them with the ability to make the step down to another suitable home either within MHC or an outside facility. In order to achieve this, MHC has put together a highly motivated and experienced staff team to assist and support, so that each service user can reach their desired goal.
