Job Description:

At Lincolnshire Co-op, our purpose is to bring together ideas, energy, and resources to make life better in our communities. Our Service Support Team maintain the properties that provide all of our valued services for our local communities, in Lincolnshire and surrounding counties.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical and Electrical Advisor to join our busy Service Support team. This role will require the individual to have a general understanding of mechanical and electrical requirements within commercial and occasionally residential buildings. You will help to establish requirements as part of planned investments and also advise on the actions required for reactive maintenance. You will also carry out the following duties:

Work with colleagues and contractors to survey and quantify project requirements relating to all mechanical & electrical needs
Work with colleagues and contractors to identify remedial actions required relating to all mechanical & electrical breakdowns
Be able to manage multiple projects at one time across the business.
Present project costs in agreed formats.
Review and help produce risk assessments and method statements for proposed mechanical and electrical work
Help assess options that improve energy efficiency
Oversee work on sites and ensure safe working practises
Approve work within agreed authorisation limits.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hold a Technical City & Guilds or equivalent qualification and will have experience of the mechanical and electrical industry in a commercial setting. Experience of assisting in the development and delivery of successful mechanical and electrical projects and initiatives is desirable. You will have the ability to build effective relationships and be able to work collaboratively at all levels. You will be flexible in your approach and be prepared to work some evenings and weekends to fit with the business needs. You will hold a full driving license as travel will be required within the role.
