Job description

Our Information Technology Generalist - Practice Support team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for PwC to drive strategic business growth.

Who we are looking for
Demonstrates extensive level of knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
- Engaging with technology specialists, development staff, and technology team leadership;
- Communicating to team leadership, business sponsors, and quality review groups to effectively and efficiently explain software development principles tempered by an understanding of business and risk management;
- Supporting development projects as a database administrator or as a solution architect;
- Developing data architecture strategies and roadmaps to guide software development teams as to how to achieve high availability and resiliency at the database layer;
- Leading a team of technologists to execute the data architecture strategy and eliminate friction from the integration process;
- Developing and maintaining metrics that demonstrate progress;
- Demonstrating experience working with one or more of the following software development languages or frameworks: .NET Standard & ASP.NET Core, Powershell, Python, or R;
- Demonstrating experience working with Cloud database offerings (e.g., Azure SQL or CosmosDB), working with NOSQL databases;
- Leading by setting cloud data architecture strategy, guiding the development of software within the Firm to work within the data architecture strategy, and providing technical advice on how to effectively use databases proactively;
- Building strong networks within the Firm to spot and capitalize on opportunities to reuse proven data design patterns to accelerate software development and remove friction from implementation of software solutions;
- Identifying and discussing key issues with stakeholders as well as potential opportunities for knowledge sharing and collaboration;
- Demonstrating responsibility to shape and deliver various software development activities that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria;
- Managing projects within team as it works with development teams to modernize applications to leverage cloud computing paradigms, specifically as it relates to data; and,
- Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching.
- Experience of progressive roles managing IT system/software development and project management processes
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Preferred Fields of Study: Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematic
