Job Paths 4 U are looking to recruit a Night Care Team Leader to work Nights in a Residential Care Home for the elderly based in Hythe.

This 26 bedded care home in Hythe is a not for profit organisation and provides care for the Elderly residents 24/7.

As the Night Care Team Leader, you will stay awake throughout the night to lead, motivate, and support a team of support workers to meet the needs of the elderly residents.

Night Care Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for rota management will include managing shifts including allocating key workers to residents
• Responsibility for managing and maintaining effective relationships with external health professionals and updating resident's relatives/friends on any progress or any changes to the resident's health
• Responsibility for carrying out effective care and support, including the ordering and appropriate administration of medications and clinical procedures to meet residents personal care needs in line with the relevant health and safety requirements and carrying out relevant risk assessments
• Ensure quality and person-centred care services are delivered to residents in line with policies and procedures and as indicated in their care plan
• Provide support to residents throughout the night whilst promoting individual choice and maintaining dignity and independence
• Ensure that care plans are tailored to individual needs with the involvement of the resident in order that the appropriate level of support is provided for all aspects of daily living
• Support healthcare professionals in the delivery of clinical care for residents according to procedures and care plans

Minimum requirements for this Care Home Team Leader position are:

• NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care (Essential)
• At least a years' experience in leading shifts and managing teams
• At least 3 years' experience working with the elderly
• Experienced in writing and maintaining care plans
