About the Team

The People Technologies and Transformation team support the delivery of the firmwide strategy and align with the firmwide transformation agenda; bringing together business understanding, human insight and innovative technology to meet the business's changing needs and expectations. They drive the benefits of transformation to enhance our people experience through: strategic use of people technologies; simplified and consistent policies and processes; alternative delivery models; and innovative data analytics and insights.

This role is part of the People Operations & Outsourcing Transformation sub team. The People Operations and Outsourcing team has overall responsibility for the relationship management and delivery of services across the People Teams from our outsourcing service providers.


About the Role

Objective of the role: Lead on the relationship management and oversee the operational delivery of our outsourced services to the People teams. Deliver transformation and continuous improvement projects to benefit the People teams and our people experience.


Core responsibilities :

  • Support Simon Carder as the People Operations & Outsourcing lead on the overall operational delivery of services from our outsourcing partners.

  • Relationship management with our outsourced partners and key internal stakeholders.

  • Lead and manage projects focused on standardisation and technology enablement of existing processes.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for the outsourcing of additional work to our key service providers.

  • Provide on the job coaching, driving best practice across the team, and to act as a point of review and sign off for work undertaken (working along with other key stakeholders both within and outside of PT&T).

  • Engage with key stakeholders in the People Teams in respect of the relevant ongoing projects and service delivery providing regular updates (verbally and in writing) to Governance and leadership groups.

  • To oversee the financial management of specified supplier contracts (including invoice management and other P&L responsibilities) and all reporting requirements (including SLAs and KPIs) working closely with the suppliers to ensure objectives are met on an ongoing basis.

  • Lead on contract change control, ensuring Statements of Work remain relevant and focused on driving service excellence and improvement.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with and leading outsourced suppliers with a focus on service delivery and continuous improvement.

  • Is able to build strong and trusted relationships across a range of key stakeholders, including those in the People Teams, IFS and our outsourcing partners.

  • Strong leadership experience in a team environment.

  • Experience of leading and managing projects focused on standardisation, automation and outsourcing.
