Job Overview

  • Providing procurement advice and supplier market insights in the technology space across a varied private and public sector client portfolio
  • Route-to-market options analysis
  • Undertaking Strategic Sourcing / Tendering / Supplier & Contract Negotiation / Contract Award and Contract Management/Supplier Relationship Management activities
  • Category strategy planning, reviews and implementing category plans and initiatives
  • Managing, supporting and or delivering procurement improvement, cost optimisation and change projects
  • Knowledge Transfer to client commercial / procurement teams
  • Engaging with stakeholders and developing robust and collaborative relationships
  • Good understanding of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and other associated legislation
  • Experience running OJEU/FTS Restricted and Open Procedure procurements
  • Experience using Crown Commercial Services and other public sector frameworks
  • Experience in running or supporting technology solutions and services procurements
  • Consultancy experience
  • NPPV3 / SC vetting
  • Interest in ESG/CSR

Requirements

Must Have:

  • Good understanding of Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and other associated legislation
  • Experience running OJEU/FTS Restricted and Open Procedure procurements
  • Experience using Crown Commercial Services and other public sector frameworks
  • Experience in running or supporting technology solutions and services procurements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills

Nice to Have:

  • Consultancy experience
  • NPPV3 / SC vetting
  • Interest in ESG/CSR

Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of consultants and client resources to deliver end-to-end procurement activities for strategic clients
  • Collaborative working with project and technical teams
  • Acting as the SME within the business for procurement related matters
  • Supporting developing the Intelligent Strategic Sourcing service capability
  • Coaching and mentoring of team members

  • The successful candidate may, on occasions, be required to undertake extra and other duties.
  • Suitable candidates must be highly organised and possess a strong attention to detail.
  • The role may require travel for meetings and client engagement.
