Production Manager Required
Our prestigious client in Crewe urgently requires a Production Manager to work on their late shift
Role Purpose:
To plan and manage the operation and deliver best performance in accordance with business objectives. Ensure the Shift Plan is achieved across all lines. To delegate tasks to their staff, set targets and goals to keep their team on track and review performance to ensure growth.

3pm to 11pm Monday to Friday

Our prestigious client in Crewe urgently requires a Production Manager to work on their late shift
Role Purpose:
To plan and manage the operation and deliver best performance in accordance with business objectives. Ensure the Shift Plan is achieved across all lines. To delegate tasks to their staff, set targets and goals to keep their team on track and review performance to ensure growth.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
- To lead, motivate and develop the teams, ensuring planned output requirements and quality standards are met and Health and Safety guidelines are followed.
- To manage all aerosol production team duties, warehousing and transportation. Ensuring legal standards are met.
- Ensure teams accurately record all waste and rejects and investigate wastage outside of tolerance.
- Understand the critical control points and ensure that they are in operation at all times
- Ordering supplies and consumables as required.
- Acting as the first point of contact for staff who need to call in sick, book leave or need help in the workplace.
- Collecting and checking timesheets and dealing with payroll administration.
- Interviewing and training new team members.
- Managing team's performance.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry guidelines.
- Maintaining a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Using the backgrounds and talents of the staff to enhance their abilities and groom them for future progression.
- Sign off all works order completion .
- Manage the plan, amending and re-planning where necessary as a result of exceptions.
- Reporting of non-conformance to plan.
- To assist in the review and update (where necessary) of all work instructions and procedures.
- To review team progress regularly through the appraisal process to identify areas for improvement, encourage progress of individual team members through performance review and developing and delivering agreed personal development plans.
- Ensure regular communications/ briefing to provide the team with the relevant information to carry out their shift to maximum effect.
- Undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job.
- To provide accurate handover information to other Shift Manager to maintain continuity of production.
- Reduce downtime through process and training.
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience within a similar role
- Experience using ERP systems
- Effectively manage workload and meet deadlines
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus a £50 per week shift allowance
- Annual profit related bonus subject to my client hitting their financial targets
- Up to 25 days holiday plus bank holidays/birthdays
- Private medical cover (Subject to passing probationary period)
