The role of the Facilities PM is to ensure that the building work across two sites is executed in line with requirements and keeps disruption to the business as minimal as possible. Prioritisation, coordination and engagement with the programme teams currently operating within the facilities will be essential to ensuring the success of the project.

This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract role due to the nature of the role - there is a possibility this will be extended further

The Project Manager will be required to:

Ensure all requirements related to office environment, off-net servers and contractual/security requirements are documented for each programme impacted by the up-coming building work/exit plans
Work with the Defence director, tease out the target office environment which takes into account the hybrid working plans.
Work with the external contractors to ensure designs deliver the above points.
Understand the phasing/priority of the work and the logistic of moving people around to allow floors to be renovated.
Understand milestones of the impacted programmes which could be affected by building work and factor into the phasing.
Working with the other entity occupying the facility to ensure their requirements are understood and executed which will include any critical periods being identified which would be adversely impacted by building work.
Plan the exit strategy for one building in line with deadlines and any dilapidations required.
Plan and coordinate any temporary moves for the teams within the building while any construction work is carried out

Key criteria required:

Experience of leading construction type projects and associated office moves.
Experience planning and implementing modern office environments.
Proven experience in a Delivery/Project Management roles, with evidence of collaborative working.
Experience delivering complex projects within tight timeframes and budgets
Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communications skills.
Capable of dealing with conflicting priorities between different specialist groups.
Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organisation, which includes a full spectrum of senior management, through to operations personnel.
Skills in influencing and negotiation methods and techniques.
An adaptive style in being able to communicate technical ideas in simple terms to multiple stakeholders.
Must be willing to travel to multiple sites in the south of England

Additional Information:

This role will be a home working role but with travel to our offices across the South
Clearance requirements: The post-holder must be able hold and maintain UK Government clearances
