Job description

Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Recruitment function, we have exciting opportunities available for Recruitment Assistant Advisers to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. Our in-house service aims to provide evidence based, creative recruitment solutions as we transition towards a more specialist service, where you will have the opportunity to develop as a seasoned Recruiter.

About you

You will have previous experience working in a fast-paced transactional environment, ideally within a recruitment team but this is not essential as we will provide the training and support you will need to succeed. With a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service, you'll take ownership of customer queries and have the ability to mentor and support junior team members, role modelling best practice behaviours. Above all you will share and promote our service values.

The diversity of our customer group will present a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to recruit for a huge variety of roles. You will play a supporting role in the design and coordination of recruitment campaigns, offering a creative input into adverts and optimising the use of advertising media where appropriate.

We will equip you with the knowledge and grow your confidence to enable you to constructively challenge ineffective practices whilst engaging and advising recruiting managers, so you must possess the ability to build and maintain relationships across your specialist service areas.

What we can offer you

We are committed to your individual success, so offer ongoing 1:1 support and continuous development opportunities including accredited customer service qualifications.

Hampshire County Council is recognised nationally as one of the highest performing local authorities in the UK. A modern, forward-looking local authority, it offers a pleasant, supportive, and collaborative working environment, flexible working opportunities, an excellent work/life balance, a strong emphasis on training and development, professional challenge and variety and a central and well-connected Head Office location in the heart of the city of Winchester.

We can offer great flexible working options for this role; as we have invested heavily in various technologies to support ongoing remote working options. This role can be carried out remotely but with some office-based working required to support business needs.
