Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES) is a business unit of PPD that helps biopharmaceutical companies overcome patient recruitment and research site challenges by optimizing each step in the patient journey to deliver greater speed, certainty, and control to clinical trial delivery.

We are currently looking to recruit a Research Assistant to complement the collaborative team at our site in Manchester.

Working Monday-Friday, 37 hours a week, as a Research Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the clinical team and play an integral role in the front and back office duties for the site.

* Essential Functions and Other Job Information: *

* Assisting peers with daily duties and administration requirements on projects
* Promoting AES through effective communication with patients
* Using reporting tools to assist with accuracy of data
* Setting up of project files and ensuring sufficiency and accuracy of appropriate documentation
* Ensuring that the diary management system is accurate and up to date at all times
* Organising patient taxis, confirmation of patient appointments and stock control
* Ensuring a safe and clean reception environment for all visitors
* Photocopying, faxing, postal activities and providing patient refreshments
* Following up with GPs and other services to gather patient information

*Qualifications: Education and Experience:*

High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Technical positions may require a certificate

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year). In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

* A passion for working in a fast moving, dynamic environment
* Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
* Previous experience of working as an administrator in an office environment
* Appropriate MS Office skills (Word, Excel & Outlook)
* Good oral and written communication skills
