Sales Manager - Chemical Minerals Industry

Location: UK Based with regular travel within UK & Europe
Salary: £70,000 + Commission + Bonus
Contract: Permanent

Our client is a highly reputable $1.6B Global Company, specialising in developing, producing and distributing a broad range of specialty Minerals for markets including Agriculture, Steel, Oil & Gas and Consumer industries.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Sales Account Manager to be based within the UK working remotely, with the ability to travel extensively within Europe to be customer facing, securing new business and key account managing and upselling to existing business and distributors.

As the Sales Manager, you will be expected to:

- Set sales targets and specific performance metrics, aligned with business strategies
- Actively research, identify and target new business opportunities within Europe.
- Manage a large portfolio of high-profile existing accounts and deliver solutions to meet customer's needs.
- Promote new products, negotiate, and agree prices.
- Oversee sales activity and develop client relationships to ensure future expenditure is secured.
- Developing and implement strategic sales plans that expand the company's customer base and solidify its presence in the market
- Secure and attend regular client/sales meetings with existing and new customers Europe, with occasional travel to the USA.
- Work closely with Production Plant/Management Teams to maintain knowledge for implementation of capacity and pricing strategies.

The successful Sales Manager will have the following skills and experiences:

- Previous experience/background within the Chemical/Minerals manufacturing industry.
- A minimum of 4 years previous experience within a Sales role from a Chemical/Minerals industry.
- Additional European languages would be advantageous.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Financially numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated and target driven attitude.

Due to the nature of the role, you must hold a valid Passport and Full Driving Licence with the flexibility to travel within the UK and European on a regular basis and occasionally to the USA
