Job description

We are looking for a Director level candidate to lead our Sales & Marketing strategy and team for the Audit Line of Service. The role will work closely with the Audit Markets and Services partner, as well as the Audit Markets Group, Audit Markets Strategy Execution Director and the Head of Audit.

The role will report to the Go to Market Strategy Director in Sales & Marketing. Candidates must have strong sales and marketing experience, including leading teams to deliver market outcomes, and understand the dynamics of the professional services market.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a business Leadership Team in defining and executing its go to market strategy.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely, and lead day to day, with the Audit leadership to provide Sales and Marketing best practice, insight and challenge.

  • Understand the market ambitions and regulatory challenges for Audit spanning clients, platforms and business units and identify and drive market opportunities, growth strategies, channels to market and client issues for Audit.

  • Agree the Sales and Marketing strategic priorities and plan, ensuring delivery against appropriate best practice standards and a clear contribution to the wider business objectives.

  • Embrace and embed the ongoing transformation of Sales and Marketing to meet the immediate and future needs of our clients in support of the overall firmwide go-to-market approach.

  • Collaborate as a member of the Sales and Marketing Leadership team; aligning common activity and strategic issues with other areas of the business through peer relationships in Sales and Marketing and beyond, whilst recognising the specific implications and requirements of the highly regulated Audit business.

  • Actively use market insight and pipeline data to inform business decisions and track performance, enabled by technology.

  • Partner with Capability Leaders and team specialists to ensure that the right skills are deployed against agreed business strategy and that activity is qualified effectively against best practice.

  • Provide leadership and line management to the Sales and Marketing aligned team to focus on the growth strategy and alignment of resources and budgets.

  • Take responsibility to manage the mitigation and escalation of risk in any activities or experience day to day.

As a Strategy Director in the Business Strategy capability of Sales and Marketing the individual will be required to:

  • Possess excellent communication skills and gravitas with senior stakeholders, both clients and senior PwC management, to develop trusted advisor relationships.

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for global, complex clients, mid -tier and private business.

  • Apply their understanding of business strategy to Sales and Marketing activities undertaken in the context of an operationally separate and highly regulated Audit business.

  • Role model Director leadership behaviors every day and partner with peers to demonstrate value and impact for the firm

  • Create a high-performing, results-driven team

  • Deliver commercial impact with purpose against all activities

  • Drive everyday innovation and share new ideas and concepts

  • Be 'every day obsessed' with client insight and client experience

  • Mentor and coach talent inclusively and create the successive leaders in the area and the wider function

  • Enable ongoing transformation and endorse new ways of working

  • Have a proven experience of creating and leading integrated sales & marketing strategy in the context of business strategy

  • Be resilient and have the ability to lead through change

  • Have a strong knowledge of best practice sales and marketing

  • Have a background & experience in professional services or financial services and/or technology
