*Summary of the Position:*

We are looking for a SAS Programmer to join our Biometrics department. You will be based remotely in the UK.

The SAS Programmer will be responsible for setting up and maintaining clinical studies within Oracle InForm and will take responsibility for the RAW dataset programming, Report and Listing programming creation and updates.

Additionally, the SAS Programmer may be the main point of contact for the Data Manager during the programming stage and may be required to assist with external data uploads and local lab ranges .

*Key Accountabilities:*

* Act as point of contact for both internal and external customers for all Data Management SAS programming tasks and issues for allocated studies.
* Develop specification documents and other supportive study documentation.
* Develop data transfer plans for 3rd party data.
* Manage data extraction from databases and create SAS programs to manipulate the data into Simbec-Orion standard format SAS datasets.
* Program checks, reports and listings using SAS.
* Load electronic 3rd party data into SAS.
* Adhere to agreed study timelines for allocated studies and flag potential problems to Programming Team Lead and/or manager.
* Other tasks as assigned by their manager with appropriate training.

* Minimum Requirements: *

* Essential: *

* Minimum A levels (or equivalent)
* Previous experience of programming within the pharmaceutical industry or a clinical research organisation
* Experience in SAS programming
* Experience in debugging SAS programs
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Fluent English
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail

* Desirable: *

* A degree or equivalent in any science/maths subject
* Experience of Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM)
* Experience of SAS Macros
* Experience of working on oncology and rare disease clinical trials
* Experience in training and mentoring colleagues
