Senior Electronics Engineer - WDWhat you will doDevelopment of electronic products for safety systems, as part of a Research & Development team in a World-leading multi-national organisationDesign electronic circuits for safety system componentsPlan and conduct design qualification testingHow you will do itLiaise with Factory Production Engineering and Test Engineering to introduce products into manufacture and maintain existing productsMaintain adequate knowledge in relevant technical developmentProvide technical support to Field Support DepartmentLiaise with suppliers and service providers, including approvals organisationsMay lead small projects: preparing and presenting project plans and proposals; then reporting on progressJob may involve some International travelQualificationsWhat we look forRequiredGood university degree (or equivalent), ideally in electronic engineering, although other graduates would be considered if they have relevant experience.Senior level professional experience of electronic product development in an R&D environmentProven expert experience of digital/microcontroller hardware developmentProven expert experience of analogue electronics design using a range of bipolar and MOSFET transistors, Op-Amps, passive components, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAble to work in a team and liaise with other teamsPreferredExperience in the Fire or Security industryDesigning to meet EMC standards and EMC testingExperience of design and type testing for compatibility with International StandardsDigital and/or Analogue Simulation tools (e.g. SPICE)Designing with programmable logic devices: PALs, FPGAs and CPLDsEmbedded Software developmentElectrical Safety and/or Hazardous Area ApplicationsField Bus and communication networksProject Management and ability to lead small teamsFlexible and enthusiastic approach to workA willingness to learn new technologies and accept new challengesFlair for lateral thinking and problem solvingPro-active and self-motivatingJob EngineeringPrimary LocationGB-Surrey-Sunbury-on-ThamesOrganization Bldg Technologies & Solutions
