Job description

PURPOSE:

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to take the lead on Capital Works at our key Total FM contract at Northwood Headquarters (NWHQ).

This key Leadership role will see you driving the delivery of the programme of Capital Works at NWHQ, taking full responsibility for the performance and governance of a team of on-site Project Managers. You will ensure delivery of safe, compliant, timely and profitable work packages, Lifecycle Requests and Authority Change Notices, as well as act as the lead for major individual work packages.

You Will :
* Manage the Project Management team to ensure that the Programme of Works is delivered to - as a minimum - achieve budget and in-year targets.
* Instil good governance to manage the performance of Project Managers.
* Work closely with the Commercial, Operations and Client teams to provide an accurate weekly programme status report and financial forecast.
* Direct line group to ensure-implementation of the Skanska End to End Process (safe system).
* Lead the performance management of Skanska and subcontractor teams with appropriate escalation channels in place. Implement agreed performance metrics.
* Implement timely agreement of project completion, as well as application and invoicing governance
* Manage team training and development plans.
* Carry out authorised person (AP) duties as required.
* Ensure tendering procedures, contracts and documentation are adhered to.

We need :
* 10 years' experience at senior level within an FM, MEP, utilities, construction or relevant environment, this could be in either an Operations Management or Programme Management role.
* Experienced in the delivery of large and complex work, in line with CDM 2015, demonstrate value engineering acumen.
* Show aptitude for Defence environment.
* Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
* Budget and revenue analytical skills
* Project or programme management qualification
* Qualified Member of Association of Project Managers or equivalent recognised body.
* Must hold or be able to achieve MoD Security Clearance (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV) without caveats.
