As Senior Learning Partner, you will lead projects to transform our approach to Learning across HMRC, taking a collaborative approach to identifying opportunities for early innovation and to surfacing and scaling the brilliant things already happening across Learning functions.

You will ensure Learning contributes to improved performance and business outcomes at an individual, team and organisational level, providing expert advice in relation to how we measure success and impact. This is a new role which you will have the opportunity to shape, as well as the chance to influence what comes next in our transformation journey.

This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to:

  • lead Learning Transformation projects, on occasion leading multi-disciplinary teams you may not directly manage;
  • experiment, you will pilot new learning approaches and methods in partnership with the business to demonstrate impact before scaling them;
  • be creative, think big and outside the box; challenge the status quo and generate solutions to new and existing Learning and business challenges;
  • provide subject matter expertise and work collaboratively to identify the requirements for Learning models and solutions which improve performance, build skills, support organisational change and provide a great colleague experience;
  • work with other subject matter experts to improve the use of data and analytics for learning to generate meaningful insights to improve the use and impact of learning activities;
  • seek out and use insights to bring innovation in how HMRC uses learning to improve capabilities and performance.

You will need the following skills and experience:

  • Experienced Learning professional with a track record of partnering to diagnose and identify outcomes focused Learning solutions to business problems.
  • Passionate about Learning trends, tools and innovations and how these can improve or enable organisational and individual performance.
  • Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating modern, innovative, high quality and varied Learning approaches and solutions which measurably deliver business benefits and outcomes.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and expert presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively, persuasively and sensitively.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with ambiguity and showing resilience in the face of challenge.
