Senior Social Worker - Family Placement TeamLocation - DumfriesContract - Up to 18 MonthsPay Rate - £26.00 - £35.00 per hourHours - 36 hours per weekThe Social Care Community Partnership are looking to recruit 2 Senior Social Workers for the Family Placement Team for Dumfries and Galloway. The role of a Senior Social Worker is to lead and support the staff team to ensure delivery of high-quality services within the context of legislation, policy, procedures, standards, values and SSSC Codes of Conduct. This post would be suitable for candidates who have supervisory experience or for an experienced Social Worker that is looking to step up.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect line management responsibility for operational staff, including allocation, supervision and PDR and ensure that all employees, directly or indirectly managed.Contribute to the development of the Social Work Business Plan and lead on the development of your Team's plan, aligning it to the Service operational plan.Responsible for the effective delivery of the frontline services allocated to the team, ensuring compliance with local strategic priorities and policies. Support the development and implementation of cross agency local partnership working.Ensure that legislative requirements are met.Keep updated on the latest evidenced based best practice in social work and act as a source of professional advice to staff.Chair meetings as required including those with service users, their carers and or families.Undertake specific project-based work as required.Oversee and manage investigations in respect of service users.Experience/SkillsSocial Work degree / DipSW / CQSW or equivalent.Post-qualifying award (such as ASP/CP PQ certificate, Practice Teaching Award or Mental Health Officer Award).Significant post-qualifying experience within a social work setting.Full UK driving licence.Registered with the SSSC and PVG check required.Relevant public protection work with children or adults.To ApplyPlease submit your CV in the first instance, you will be contacted if you have been shortlisted.For a confidential chat and for a detailed job description for the role please contact Steve More on .About the Social Care Community PartnershipThe Social Care Community Partnership (TSCCP) is both an award winning registered provider of social care services and a social care recruiter.
