About Enfield
Enfield is a dynamic and progressive London Borough with excellent links to the city and central areas as well as Hertfordshire and Essex. With the focus for London's future growth on outer London and recognising its location along the strategically important London - Stansted corridor, there are a range of significant development opportunities. We want your skills and vision to help realise their potential and reflect our passion for green infrastructure.
Headlining our ambitious growth agenda is the Borough's largest residential led mixed use development at Meridian Water where upwards of 12000 new homes and 6000 jobs will be created. Alongside new public open spaces, shops, community facilities and a new railway station already under construction, this is a key opportunity to shape and deliver a landmark residential scheme within London.
Our ambitions don't end there as we are already in early discussions on a number of major regeneration schemes across the Borough including proposals for Enfield Town, Brimsdown, Edmonton and Southgate to create places which deliver high quality mixed use residential led development.
We need you to help us achieve this vision. Working alongside our new Place and Design Review Panel, this is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to gain exceptional experience and make a real difference to the future lives of our residents.
To help you help us, we can offer opportunities for personal development including flexible working or compressed hours, home working opportunities, generous annual leave, training opportunities and a friendly working environment. Further enhancements to the Council's overall remuneration and retention package are currently under discussion

You will hold or be working towards a National Diploma in Arboriculture and or have other relevant arboricultural qualifications. Candidates will need to be able to travel effectively around the borough to fulfil their duties.
You will be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative and manage tight deadlines, but also be able to contribute to the interdisciplinary work of the wider service.
To succeed in this role, you will have an in-depth knowledge of tree issues along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also have excellent customer focus and be able to demonstrate confidence in dealing with applicants and their agents, Councilors and residents.
