Seven Social Care is looking for a Social Worker to work within Walsall Council's Children's Services.

£36,019 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable children, their families and, by extension, the local community.

As an ideal candidate, you will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of current childcare legislation and have experience of working directly with children and young people, and their families, in a social work setting. In addition, you will also need a relevant professional qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and be registered as a Social Worker with the HCPC.

Main purpose of this job role:
* To carry out effective assessment, planning and delivery of social work services to children and families, whilst enhancing and promoting life chances to those groups of children and young people that Walsall Council has responsibility for.
* To provide high quality social work services to children in need and their families in accordance with legal requirements, and departmental policies and procedures.

Additional conditions:
* Full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Ability and willingness to travel from location to location
* Working outside of normal office hours will occasionally be required
* Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this post
