Salary range: £36,708 - £39,867 p.a. inc.
Contract: Permanent
Hours of work: 36 hours per week
Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

The Post
The commissioning, contracting and market management Residential and Nursing team provides end-to-end commissioning. We work with a number of care homes across different user groups.
We are looking for 2 new social workers to join us in the team to support with safeguarding enquiries. The social worker posts are to support the wider review function and to complete s42 enquiries. You are required to have good knowledge and experience of working with adults in care homes. The role will include other areas of work including applications to the court of protection, reviews, MCA and best interest.

This is a busy large, lively and dynamic team so the ability to work as part of a team and support other colleagues is required. The team has a varied function overall and the ability to think differently, creatively and have a "can do" attitude to work, that may not be exactly a social work function is desirable. If you want, commissioning experience this is the team to work in!
The Person
You will be a qualified social worker with experience of working with care homes for a range of different adult user groups. The role is to complete safeguarding enquiries and therefore previous experience and knowledge is required of Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
You need to be a good communicator and information gatherer .You will also need excellent report writing skills.
A good communicator with a can do attitude who wants to gain different experiences and knowledge in a non-traditional social work team.

The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 are expected to come into effect on 11th November 2021 and require any person ('Professional or Tradesperson') who has to enter a care home to have received both of their COVID Vaccinations.
