Job description
£10 per hour plus £500 Welcome Bonus and pay enhancements for short notice shifts
37.5 hours per week
At 2a Court Road, we provide support to 15 people with learning disabilities who, on occasions, can find life challenging. Our service is divided into 3 homes with 5 people living in each. We are here to support the residents as individuals and enable them to live the lives that they have chosen. Enabling residents to live enriched and varied lives is at the heart of everything we do!

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
• To encourage and enable service users to make day-to-day choices and major life decisions, signposting as appropriate, and to develop a positive self-image and maintain good health.
• To support service users to develop relationships and to maintain contact with family and friends.
• Have a caring manner and a tolerant nature and would be able to work proactively together with the team
• Take part in the training and development schedule provided by Milestones Trust and undertake medication competency training as needed in the role
The successful Support Worker will:
• Possess strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, service users and a range of stakeholders
• Experience within the sector is not essential as we will provide you with training required to carry out your duties
• Be flexible, as the role includes shift work, weekend work and includes waking nights and be able to lone work while supporting the people to meet their goals and aspirations in the community setting
• A valid UK Driving License is essential as our team of support workers are required to drive our service minivan
