The Leidos Defense Group has a career opportunity for a System Administrator, based in Molesworth, United Kingdom.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
This program provides critical Communications and Information Technology Services to support U.S. Africa Command, U.S. European Command, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, Southern European Task Force, and associated staff elements and organizations. It provides our war fighters support in their mission to keep threats and vulnerabilities as low as possible by ensuring their computer network is stable, undisrupted, secure and will require some OCONUS travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
•Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
•Application integration with directory services, assigning roles, provisioning hypervisors and storage for virtual infrastructure, as well as automated provisioning of guest operating systems and applications.
•Creation and maintenance of configuration items and other related documentation, in approved software version control system.
•Troubleshooting complex IT issues.
•Monitor system performance and establishes performance baselines. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software.
•Provide support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems.
•Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
•Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
•Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
•Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Server infrastructure and systems providing a variety of services to the EUCOM customer.
•Resolve IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures.
•Maintains highly available operations of Windows and Linux computer systems and appliances.
•Performs regular backups and tests backups in recovery scenarios.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
•Must hold an active Top Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specialized experience.
•Must have an DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification prior to start (Sec+).
•MCSA certification or higher.
•4+ years of Active Directory administration experience.
•Experience working and supporting Virtual Infrastructure.
•Knowledge of DoD IA/Cybersecurity and IT regulations and guidance.
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
•Experience in the evaluation and integration of new technologies into existing environments.
