About the role
This opportunity is for a manager to support the Contingent Hire team as a Business Relationship & Supplier Manager.

The Contingent Hire team are responsible for the delivery of the contingent workforce strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join the team during an exciting period of change. Business partnering and strategic thinking are key elements of the business relationship manager role and will therefore suit an individual looking to enhance their skills in these areas.
The individual will:
- have the opportunity to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders from across several lines of service
- have the opportunity to drive forward a number of transformation projects and potentially influence a number of internal policies
- work alongside our managed service provider, actively managing requirements and ensuring resources are brought in on a timely and compliant fashion
- be the first point of escalation for the business/resourcing for an allocate Line of Service, and
- develop a deeper understanding of how the firm operates.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Business Relationship Manager - 80%
- provide guidance and advice to at least one Line of Service on their flexible resourcing options in order for the business to make the right strategic hiring decisions
- proactively supporting the Contingent Hire operations leader by driving forward change project(s), liaising with specialist teams as required; such as People Capability, Procurement, Resourcing and Firm's Tax.
- contribute towards a refreshed communications strategy, with a particular focus on our Flexible Careers Network
- drive forward alternative offerings, such as Statement of Work engagements
- work closely several vendors, specifically our managed service provider and contractor network technology provider
- be the first point of contact for business and/or resourcing escalations
Contingent Worker Supplier Manager (not our Managed Service Provider) - 20%
- own the relationship with our suppliers, including taking ownership of onboarding new suppliers, managing the end to end process and ensuring compliance with all PwC policies,
- overseeing quarterly auditing of our supply chain,
- being the first port of call for the business on all Contingent Worker suppliers (not our Managed Service Provider) queries, escalating as necessary
- project manage the outsourcing of several parts of our supply chain as a one off deliverable
- triage new IT access requests for individuals delivering services via Service Acquisition Agreements, challenging the business where the service is more akin to staff augmentation
Requirements:
- A commercial understanding of the business and the factors which influence resourcing decisions
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to stand back and understand the wider picture, coordinating the translation of vision into action and accountability.
- Excellent organisational, communications & project management skills with an ability to deal with complex and/or sensitive situations with professionalism, tact and diplomacy
- Capable of being able to operate within an ambiguous & dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the Off Payroll workers legislation, commonly known as IR35, if preferable but not a requirement.
