Job description
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to join our team in Royston near Cambridge. You will hold a HNC/ equivalent or higher qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering or mechatronics.

As part of this growth, we are pleased to announce a new opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to lead a group of manufacturing engineers at our site in Royston.
Here we design and manufacture a range of automation for the life sciences industry. These instruments are sold worldwide and are highly respected in the marketplace. You will be responsible for leading a team, collaborating with development teams during NPI projects, managing sustaining activity and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will accomplish together with us:
Leading, managing and developing a team of manufacturing engineers
Participating in the implementation of projects, from early stage NPI through to and beyond product launch to the final qualification of projects
Participating in the implementation of new manufacturing processes
Leading continuous improvement projects
Driving to sustain a high-performance and proven quality environment
What will convince us:
Background in working in a low volume, high complexity manufacturing environment
HNC/ equivalent or higher qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering or mechatronics
Significant manufacturing engineering experience
Considerable understanding of mechanical engineering in a production environment
Some team leading experience
Experience in the design of jigs and fixtures for manufacturing
Sound knowledge and experience of NPI processes
Highly organised with strong communication skills
