Job Description:

Are you a focused, hard-working individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment? Are you passionate about wanting to provide a valued service to your local community? Then we want to hear from you!

As a Team Leader, you'll be at the forefront of our business. You'll lead by example, setting a pace that motivates your team and inspires them to get involved and share ideas to ensure the store remains at its best. You'll work alongside the Store Manager to help achieve consistent results but take charge and guide the team in the absence of other leaders. You'll need to be over 18 years old to apply for this role, as you'll need to authorise age-related sales.

We will discuss working hours at interview with you, however our stores are open when our customers need us. As a keyholder, you'll be responsible for opening and closing the store therefore there will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends.

Candidate Requirements:

We'd love to hear from people who have previous experience of leading teams, especially in a retail environment. You'll need to demonstrate excellent customer service, literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to apply these in the workplace. You'll be proactive in approach and demonstrate an ability to solve problems and build relationships with both customers and colleagues alike.

Benefits:

In addition to working for a successful co-operative business, we offer our colleagues fantastic benefits, including:

Pension scheme offering up to 12% employer contributions
Generous colleague discount rates across our family of businesses
Working schedules are available four weeks in advance, giving you time to plan around your shifts
Free tea and coffee provisions for all colleagues during rest breaks at work

We are committed to the development of our colleagues and will support you to achieve your career goals. As your confidence grows, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and further progress your career with us through ongoing training, which may open the door to store management opportunities and beyond.

Please note: Interviews for this role will take place remotely. We can also make reasonable adjustments to our interview process according to your needs. Please see our website here for more information.
