Job description

Healthcare Consulting is the consultancy arm of NHS London Shared Services, an NHS organisation providing expert transformational and transactional support to NHS organisations to assist in the delivery of improved health services. It is a consultancy team created by and for the NHS.

We provide a positive culture of assurance and effective change management, leading and delivering local improvement initiatives across London.

Our consultants bring their extensive public, private and third sector experience to bear on the NHS's most complex problems, as we advise, deliver and support bespoke portfolio, programme and project management solutions and end-to-end transformation services, enabling enable closer alignment and ownership of regional transformation support, working with health and social care partners to facilitate change and improvement.

We are recruiting in order to respond effectively to our customers' emerging priority areas. Currently these include primary care development, system recovery from COVID, and development of integrated care at a system and place level.

As well as applicants with generalist project and programme management skills and experience, we are also looking for technical consultants with a digital, data and technology (DDaT) skillset. You can find out more about our work and specialisms at

We are particularly keen to hear from people with the following subject matter expertise:

  • Primary care and general practice
  • Mental health
  • Health and care in the adult and children's secure estate (prisons, YOIs, secure children's homes etc.)
  • Communications and engagement.

We have vacancies across a range of roles including:

  • Senior consultant (band 8c)
  • Consultant (band 8a or 8b depending on experience); and
  • Junior consultant (band 6 or 7 depending on experience).

Interview Date: Assessments and interviews will take place in early January 2022.
