Are you looking for a rewarding, challenging and worthwhile role? GreenSquareAccord are looking for a part time Tenancy Enablement Officer with housing experience to join their team. This role is scheme based in Walsall, West Midlands, however the post holder may be required to travel to and from all sites in areas covering Birmingham and the Black Country if required. Therefore, a full driving licence and access to own transport would be desirable for this role.

You will predominately be working with adults with Mental Health. These tenants just need additional support with their tenancies and day to day support for daily living.

You will assist with housing management issues, health and safety checks, creating, managing and updating rent accounts and risk assessments.

As a Tenancy Enablement Officer you will be responsible for providing an intensive housing management service and concierge service within specialist supported accommodation for adults with mental health issues.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of day to day housing management tasks such as -

Processing referrals, carrying out housing assessments and making recommendations about accommodation need when required.Liaising with professionals, relatives and care and support staff. Monitoring tenants wellbeing and where necessary referring onto appropriate agenciesRent collection and timely management of current and former tenant arrearsManagement of repairs.Managing safety and security of the housing schemes.Effective new client inductions, assisting in the completion of HB and UC claims and ensuring correct benefits are in place for clientsResponding to incidents of anti-social behaviour.Providing an out-of-hours on-call service when required

You should be a flexible and adaptable individual with superb communication skills. A cheerful personality, a positive attitude and the ability to manage any situation which may arise is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting vulnerable people in a housing or community setting.

A Driving Licence and access to transportation are desirable for this role.
