Job description

A public research University are currently recruiting for a Timetabling Coordinator responsible for supporting the Timetabling manager with the University's annual timetable build process. You will also be assisting with ad hoc room bookings and resolving complex issues as they arise.

You will have the key duty of analysing timetabling data and current timetabling systems and suggest ways to improve the student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Timetabling Manager undertaking all necessary tasks to ensure effective and efficient University timetable is produced.
Supporting the overall function of the Central Timetabling Unit (CTU) in delivering a workable timetable to students.
Using initiative to resolve standard and / or complex timetabling issues.
Prioritising, planning and organising resources to achieve agreed objectives.
Working with appropriate internal and external parties, developing the University's use of its current timetabling software as well as contributing to the implementation of new software.
Contributing to the development of the central timetabling website to provide information on all aspects of timetabling.

You will have:

Extensive knowledge of administration in the Higher Education or Further Education sector.
Relevant administration experience, preferably within Higher Education.
Experience of working with timetabling software.
Experience of interpreting and analysing data.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good numeracy skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to communicate both professionally and effectively with staff, students as well as external parties.
