The Role

We are currently looking for a Transport Supervisor within our Birmingham Depot.

In this role you will be controlling the disciplines and activities of all van drivers to ensure an efficient service is provided to the Depot's expanding customer base, maintain adequate staffing levels and address all training needs to provide a sustained quality service, work closely with the Transport Manager to achieve measurable and controllable KPI's and budget targets. Ensure servicing and maintenance of the fleet is of the highest standard and that all aspects of the fleet operation is fully compliant with ISO procedures, GDP/MHRA guidelines and road traffic legislation, and review and optimise van routes working closely with the Transport Manager and Sales team in conjunction with the Depot Manager, be responsible for the implementation of current laws and regulations relating to Health and Safety.

The hours of work are 42.5 per week:

Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, Saturday 06:00 - 11:00

- Full UK Driving License
- Ability to manage and schedule drivers rotas
- Experience of working within a multi drop transport operation
- A proven track record of leading, motivating and developing their teams.
- Experience of fleet maintenance, accident reporting and investigation and compliance to all road and traffic legislation.
-Awareness of MHRA/GDP/ISO procedures
