What you will be doing
Working as part of a team, you will be required to carry out routine operations and basic process maintenance of our main trunk sewer network. You will be required to cover an area encompassing most of South London. This is a safety-focused role and will require you to work closely with your team members.
Day to day you will be maintaining and operating the sewer network and its associated assets whilst carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and fault finding. The work involves confined space access working in some of London's most challenging Subterranean areas.

- Complete planned, emergency, and defect maintenance of the trunk sewer network. Previous experience in maintenance would be advantageous and mechanical bias, with previous qualifications desirable but not essential
- Complete manual handling activities to operate large mechanical assets and grounds maintenance; therefore, it is essential that you are physically fit and prepared to work in a challenging environment on a daily basis
- Have a proactive approach to your work and demonstrate that you can work positively and effectively within a team environment
- You will need to be a keen and motivated team member, able to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to work. A valid UK driving licence is required and HGV is preferable, but training will be provided for this as required
- Willing to work on a shift pattern, with 1 week of nights in 5 and complete an out of hours call out rota
