Job description

Position: Temporary Works Coordinator / Assistant Engineering Manager

Salary & Location: Circa £45,000 plus excellent benefits and bonus based in East London

Company: Arguably the biggest and most successful residential developer in the South East of England specialising is high specification projects. This particular part of the company focus on high end, mixed use projects across London where they have won numerous Health and Safety and NHBC awards. With the success of purchasing additional land, they are looking to strengthen their already successful team.

The Role: Reporting into the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for working across two projects in East London which are both high end / high rise residential with commercial space and amenities. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
• Managing temporary works activities and procedures and ensuring adequate control systems are in place.
• Lead weekly site meetings with the engineering subcontractors and construction teams.
• Ensure that checks, inspections and test are made at appropriate stages.
• Ensure design briefs are prepared in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist in the tendering process for engineering subcontractors.
• Support Designated Individual (DI) in reviewing the suitability of the Contractor's Temporary Works Procedures and its suitability for the proposed works.

The Candidate: You will have a structural or civil Engineer degree with 3-5 years' experience ideally within the UK residential sector for either a Main/Sub Contractor or a Developer. You will also have a Temporary Works Coordinator ticket and working experience and knowledge of BS 5975:2019.
