Who we're looking for:
Do you want to have an exciting role in a fast growing Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure ("EUMI") Valuation business and provide best in class support to PwC's top tier client base? Do you have a passion for being at the forefront of deals in a sector that is leading the energy transition pathway - in an environment where there is increasing pressure on companies to consider environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and move towards Net Zero? This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic EUMI valuations team and to help shape and grow the business.
Our team has a fantastic role for a confident and ambitious Senior Manager within our Valuation Practice. Given the high growth trajectory of the business we are looking for Senior Managers with Director potential and beyond.
About us
Our valuations business is a thriving, growing and innovative team of individuals who work collaboratively with our clients to value their businesses. We have around [150] people in the UK and we work along industry lines, as we believe that having a deep understanding of the issues and opportunities facing each sector is critical to producing commercial and robust valuations. Our EUMI valuations team (covering oil & gas, metals & mining, power, infrastructure, renewables, airports and utilities) is the largest EUMI sector focussed valuations team in the UK and provides valuation services to leading infrastructure funds, pension funds and corporates across the EUMI sectors, including the fast growing new energies and renewables industries.
We are looking to recruit Senior Manager level individuals into our London office. This provides the opportunity for a successful candidate to work in a fast paced business alongside a team which has grown significantly over the past five years and is forecast to continue to grow, both in size and new areas of work especially as a result of the increased focus on clean energy and the race to zero emissions.

About the role
The role is an exciting opportunity to help lead a growing team and responsibilities would include owning and growing client relationships as well as managing an enthusiastic junior team. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to be proactive and work autonomously, their experience and ability to lead and motivate a team, their ability to coach and develop junior staff and their technical expertise within valuations.
Responsibilities
Leading day to day client relationships on projects
Leading and overseeing financial modelling assignments as part of the valuation process. You will therefore need to be proficient in Excel with solid financial modelling experience.
Writing and reviewing valuation reports / analysis. Communicating this analysis to senior internal and external stakeholders.
Coaching junior staff in a mix of technical valuations skills, industry knowledge and soft skills.
Keeping in touch with clients and developing new client relationships in the sector
Essential Skills and Experience
Valuation experience including valuations of shares, debt and businesses
An active interest in and passion for the ever evolving energy, utilities and infrastructure markets
Relevant industry qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CFA is desirable but not essential
Aside from the technical valuation skills we would expect the candidate to have good business and client relationship development capabilities, strong communication and people management skills.

Collectively, we deal with the types of situations you hear about regularly in the news and we provide support, insight and analysis to the management, shareholders and financiers of business.
