Job description

Sovereign Automotive, part of Examworks are looking for a Workshop Assistant to join the team based at the West Drayton Depot.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure the depot hire fleet is fully prepared for delivery and that depot parking area remains organised at all times.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assisting in the preparation of hire fleet vehicles to a high standard for delivery to customers, adhering to the relevant procedures and completing all required documents.
Ensuring that vehicles required for the following days deliveries are accounted for and prepared
Ensuring that basic maintenance checks are carried out and highlighted to a line manager.
Carrying out basic maintenance as requested by a line manager.
Ensuring that the depot parking area remains organised at all times with different vehicles allocated different areas as directed by the depot management.
Preparation of the yard for easy access for collection of vehicles by salvage agents or other Kindertons employees when appropriate.
Assisting depot administrators in dealing with damaged fleet vehicles by photographing those vehicles and taking for estimate and the designated fleet repairer.
Working as part of a team, attending team meetings and contributing where appropriate.
Any other duties reasonably requested by line manager.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Pro-active approach to resolving problems
A basic level of mechanical knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Willing participation in the work of the team, providing additional help when resources are stretched.
Ability to manage own workload and work in a target driven environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
