Job description

*Behaviour Mentor required in Southwark - £70 - £85 a day*

Engage Education are working with a fantastic special school to recruit an experienced, caring and energetic Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant to support students with a primary diagnosis of Autism. The school is based in the borough of Southwark and offers their students a creative and stimulating learning environment.

Further details of the role include:

* Full-time

* Monday - Friday

* £70 - £85 per day

* Immediate start

* £150 'refer a friend' scheme

The ideal candidate will be able to:

* Provide both 1:1 and small group support in the classroom

* Be fun, energetic and creative!

* Have high expectations for all students

* Be able to work as part of a team

* Have a passion for education and supporting those with special educational needs

The ideal candidate will be:

* Experienced in supporting children and young people, ideally in an educational setting

* Experienced in supporting those with special educational needs, in particular Autism

* Trained in positive handling, e.g. Team Teach

* Experienced in managing challenging behaviours
