Job description
Richmond Pharmacology is an innovative, dynamic and adaptive Contract Research Organisation (CRO) based in London Bridge, conducting clinical research on behalf of clients in the pharmaceutical industry.
We have an opportunity for a knowledgeable and ambitious GMC registered doctor to make a noticeable impact within a world-renowned clinical research organisation working with a varied group of international biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients.
Our doctors work across a range of clinical trials involving both healthy and patient volunteers. The team of doctors contribute to original research, developing a skill set that includes protocol development and data analysis and reporting. Through this multi-faceted role and the training provided, our doctors are given the opportunity to present at national and international meetings, allowing them to build their research toolkit.
As a Research Physician you will join a close-knit team, headed by our Medical Director who is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. This is a clinical position like any clinical NHS post you may apply for, but through your work in a supportive, stable team you will have the opportunity to contribute to publications, to quality and process improvements and become involved in teaching.
We appreciate the importance of a cohesive and skilled team and the variety of skills each person may bring to this team. As such we take a flexible approach to training and development of all physicians working at Richmond Pharmacology, accounting for each doctor's skill set and longer-term plans. Specific clinical training for this role in conjunction with management and leadership training is provided from the outset of your employment and this is ongoing throughout your time at Richmond Pharmacology.
Our physicians are offered the opportunity to register with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and complete PMST (Our Principal Investigators are both registered educational supervisors and take an active role in your training), funded by Richmond Pharmacology. Beyond PMST there are opportunities to obtain post graduate qualifications including an MSc and a PhD in clinical pharmacology.
You will be based in our central London, state-of-the-art facility, at a clinical site that has been synonymous with cutting edge clinical research for over 30 years. In the last few years our facility has undergone a £5 million redevelopment ensuring the facility matches the excellence of our teams.
