School Finance Officer - Outstanding Secondary School - Southwark

An Outstanding All Boys Secondary School in the London Borough of Southwark is looking to appoint an experienced School Finance Officer to provide support in maintaining effective financial control.

In your role as a School Finance Officer, you will provide a professional and comprehensive support service for the school. You should be smart, confident and capable working with IT, quick to learn and hard working. You should have previous experience of working in a similar public sector environment to support you in your role as School Finance Officer.

JOB DESCRIPTION - School Finance Officer

• School Finance Officer
• Providing financial assistance to the Executive Bursar
• Liaising with suppliers
• Collating and analysing data and producing reports
• Maintenance of accounts filing system
• Responsibility for school fund and ParentPay
• Full time and permanent position
• Pay - £25,161 - £35,00 (dependent on experience)
• Located in the Borough of Southwark

PERSON SPECIFICATION - School Finance Officer

• Good academics including degree, A level and GCSEs
• Have excellent interpersonal and administration skills
• Experience working in a similar role previously
• Excellent IT skills and a sound knowledge of accounts filing systems
• Be highly organised and have an ability to remain calm under pressure
• Work well independently, and also as a member of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidentially
