Contracts and Procurement Manager, Local Authority, 6 months, up to \u00A3400 per day - inside IR35

Your new company
An excellent opportunity for a Contracts and Procurement Manager to join a leading local government organisation based in London on a 6 month contract.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be procuring and managing contracts in order to maximise value for money from the relationship with suppliers and support a centre of excellence for management of contracts. You will be overseeing the procurement of contracts in accordance with the development and delivery of a contract management framework for sub-contracted service providers both in-house and eternal. You will manage a small team of contract managers to provide procurement and contract management support. In this role, you will also coordinate all procurement activity to ensure that there is adequate time to prepare and take a beat practice approach to procuring and managing new suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have a very strong contract management background. A sound understanding of procurement is essential. You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and have extensive experience in negotiation and delivering large value service contracts and Service Level Agreements. You will have a good understanding of public sector regulations have strong leadership qualities.
