Payroll Officer, Remote, 10 month FTC, 30k - 35k pro rata

Your new role
You will be responsible for;

* Liaising with the external payroll bureau

* Reviewing details of changes to the payroll added by the People department and communicating them to the payroll provider
* Checking the reports provided and following up any issues

* Preparing the payroll and P32 journals
* Preparing and uploading the monthly pension submissions
* Preparing and submitting the quarterly union data
* Managing the payroll inbox and answering questions from colleagues
* Organising payments for extras, porters, guest artists etc.
* Preparing the job retention scheme submissions
* Accounting for visiting companies and preparing settlement statements
* Overseeing the accounting with the catering company
* Supporting the Financial Accountant
* Providing cover for other members of the team when needed

What you'll need to succeed

* Payroll experience
* Pensions experience
* Sales ledger experience
* Strong Excel skills (essential)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (strongly desirable)
* Experience of the charity sector (desirable)
