The Role

Here at Midland Veterinary Surgery in Leyton, we are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. The role will include carrying out consultations and surgery and other caseloads.

The rota will include working 30-40 hours per week over 4 days. The shifts can be flexible. The weekends are 1:3 Saturdays only, the hours being 8am-2:30pm. No out of hours.

About Us

The Midland Veterinary Surgery was established in 2001 by Brian Stenson and William Wildgoose, both of whom had worked for over 20 years in the practice, which was formerly owned by Ronald Gardner. Hence, our practice has served pets in Leyton and the surrounding areas since 1974. We have good transport links into London as Leyton Midland Station is a 1-minute walk away. Buses stop directly outside also.

We are a small animal practice with two consultation rooms, X-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, Blood pressure and pulse oximeter theatre and external ultra-sonographer laboratory. We also have a cattery located at back of practice.

At our practice we have 4 vets, 7 nurses and 3 support members. Our practice is very accommodating, and we have a friendly team who offer great support and time. We also take part in local school talks and work with local charities in the area.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a first opinion practice and able to carry out routine procedures. TWe would support the new employee wanting to achieve a certificate and can do secondments as we have links to other practices specialising in specific areas.
