HSB Technical's Power & Propulsion team have a number of vacancies for multiple businesses covering the UK and overseas.

My client is a well-known business within the power & propulsion sector, they are actively looking for a Proposals OR Tendering OR Bid Engineer to join the team. This person will manage sales of the products and services through the preparation, coordination and management of tenders going to a variety of national customers both new and existing. You will generate leads visit customers, undertaking site surveys, get involved in marketing and offer some technical expertise. You will also coordinate, prepare and manage tenders through internal resources to deliver effective and innovative customer returns while maximising value added opportunities, revenues and profits.

HSB Technical's client is a very established and well-regarded entity within the Power & Propulsion Sector.

Responsibilities (Brief Outline):

Key Points;

• Quotations - Evaluation, preparation, calculation, and coordination of component pricing

• PQQ - Maintain information database and submit customer Pre Qualifications Questionnaires as required

• Customer Service - Visit customers to discuss requirements

• Standardisation - Evaluate customer inquiries and categorise into standardisation matrix

• Leadership - Lead and influence internal and external supply chain on any R & D prototype projects.

• Feedback - Ensure project washouts are carried out and feedback variances for improvement.

• Sales Planning - Develop appropriate sales plans to ensure industry targets are met

• Marketing - Accountable for provision of information to the marketing department in support of the Marketing Plan

• Communication - Communicate account status to all interested P&I parties so that a coherent and integrated approach is presented to all major customers

• Performance Monitoring - Monitoring and presentation of dept dept KPI's

• Technical Support - Undertake Site Visits to assess customer requirements and generate tailored solutions

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Strong sales orientation

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills

• Innovative thinking coupled with creative problem solving skills .

• Proficient in the MS office package

• An ability to work independently while thriving in a team-based environment

Qualifications:

• HND / Degree Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
