Position purpose statement
RPS Water Operations delivers both clean and wastewater services to our clients across the breadth of the UK and Ireland. Within water operations we are looking to align our purpose and promise to our strategic priorities of making RPS a great place to do great work, delivering great work for our clients and making it easy to work together. The position of Field Engineer is at the heart of our strategic priorities, in delivering great work for our clients by providing excellent customer service and executing complex operational tasks. As a Leakage Engineer you will use your expertise whilst working on your own and as part of a team resolving complex operational issues. This will include detecting both proactive and reactive leaks on our clients' network using a combination of methods. Your purpose will be to assess, diagnose and determine the most appropriate solution to reduce leakage in each given area and fully support the delivery of regulatory targets. You will work and pinpoint leakage with a level of accuracy that delivers a great service for clients'. This position at times needs you to be flexible in your approach to working hours to make you most efficient and effective whilst carrying out leakage activity. There may also be a requirement for you to support further operational issues such as supply interruptions, and support the training and development of our Field Technicians.
