Job description

Please note: this is an Assistant Manufacturing Manager role. Ideal applicant will have background experience in HVAC Industry, as well as relevant experience in management.

Key responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities in the absence of the Manufacturing Manager will include but are not limited to the following:-

* Report factory performance and improvement measures at weekly Managers' meeting

* Manage all costs associated with production relating to direct labour staffing levels and training to achieve target margins and levels of productivity.

* Conduct Production meetings with direct reports and the Operations and Customer Service departments to agree and confirm production completion dates

* Control and manage the production facility to achieve acknowledged delivery dates in accordance with customer and market expectations while maintaining excellent quality, service and cost control.

* Create a production "can-do" team working philosophy and promote continuous improvement, and personal development within the team.

* Maintain and develop further a multi-skilled flexible team to ensure the ability to respond to changes in market and product requirements on a seasonal basis or for other reasons.

* Manage and conduct staff appraisals setting achievable goals "SMART". Maintain staff training matrices

* Ensure that staff follow AMP, AFP and all other relevant Quality procedures

* Manage staff discipline in terms of attendance, breaches in conduct within a Unionised facility, in line with the Company's Disciplinary Procedures and following requirements of the Law and wherever possible suggested practice recommended by ACAS.

* Participate and ensure compliance with QA, Health and Safety and all other company procedures in cooperation with the management team
