Do you have working knowledge of Freight Forwarding? Perhaps you have had an introduction to the Freight Forwarding industry and are keen to expand your knowledge and career?
A niche Freight Forwarder based just outside Southampton are looking to recruit a Freight Forwarder to join a busy team. The company predominantly specialise in Air Freight and so naturally it would be beneficial if you have Air Freight experience, however that is not a prerequisite. The company are happy to consider candidates who are experienced in other forms of transport - eg Sea or Road.

More importantly for this company is the individual and what traits you demonstrate. The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate their willingness to learn and been keen to develop a long-term career with on the job training.
This company have been established for circa 25 years and are looking for an experienced candidate to join their reactive, fast moving courier and dedicated transport team.

In this role you will be joining a small but busy team where youll be responsible for co-ordinating shipments across a number of large accounts. These shipments are time sensitive and will typically present with 48 hours-notice. They regularly have additional requirements surrounding them and so high attention to detail is critical. You could be responsible for Import, Export (domestic and international) and cross trade and could be working with air, sea, rail and road solutions - but as already stated Air Freight is predominantly used.
The role is highly client-centric so great communication skills, and an ability to deal with contacts at all levels of business, are essential.
This company are a small team and put a great deal of emphasis on responsibilities, competence and contribution to the immediate team and overall Company.
Preferably you will have Dangerous Goods experience - and ideally a relevant Dangerous Goods qualification / certificate. Again, this is not a pre-requisite.

Salary and package:
£22 - 25,000 basic subject to experience and Dangerous Good certificates. (Salary may be negotiable for right candidate)
